AFL Grand Final Best Bet
The teams have been officiallly named with a surprise of Dayne Beams being omitted with a groin injury for first year player Alex Fasolo. Geelong enter the AFL Grand Final with an unchanged line up, however there must be doubts on Steve Johnson’s fitness and they will give him up to the last minute to prove his fitness.
Collingwood Magpies v Geelong Cats – Collingwood Magpies, Margin Bet 1-39 points, $2.75. Geelong enter the game as favourites, with that being said we think the Magpies will have enough to beat them on Saturday. The Magpies finished the regular season as minor premiers and have a better midfield than the Cats, stronger forwards in Dawes and Cloke, topped off by a stable backline. Geelong bring form into the game which will be a major advantage and the fact they have been here before will ensure that this is cracking game.

AFL Grand Final 2011 Preview.
The AFL season has come down to this, the biggest week in football. All the attention has turned to the ins and outs for the big game. Collingwood looked to have big injury concerns in Darren Jolly and Ben Reid, however both were able to train strongly today and look to be certain starters for the weekend. Geelong also go into the game with a massive injury worry with Steve Johnson. He has been unable to train this week with his knee injury and seems to be at best a 50/50 chance of playing Saturday. Large crowds have turned out to to watch both teams train with over 10,000 watching the Cats go through their paces at Skilled Stadium and a similar number watching the Pies at Gosch’s Paddock.

AFL Brownlow Medal 2011
Dane Swan wins the 2011 Browlow Medal with 34 votes. The highest number of votes under the current 3-2-1 system. Dane Swan was a worthy winner of the Brownlow with a fantastic start to the season before travelling to Arizona. After his training and freshen up in Arizona, Swanny has come back and finished the season in style. Now all that stands between Collingwood and Swan are the Geelong Cats. The 2011 AFL Grand Final should be an enthralling contest and we will have a winner by 6pm on Saturday afternoon.
Preliminary Finals!!
Only one more game until the AFL 2011 Grand Final.
Collingwood v Hawthorn – Collingwood Magpies – Margin bet – 1-39 points, $2.20. We have reviewed the lines in this weeks AFL and have noticed the lines being nearly exactly as we would have expected them. It begins to get harder when there are fewer games as the lines will become a lot tighter to find value. We do believe however that the Collingwood v Hawthorn game will be a close one and subsquently we have found the $2.20 on offer for Collingwood 1-39 represents a good replacement for our line betting this week.
